About this site

It dawned on me year or so ago that I have spent far more time online researching railroads and model railroading, then I have spent on any other medium. Despite the huge number of quality publications that are now so readily available, I find myself gravitating back to the web. The casual writing styles and unique perspectives varying website have are as interesting as their respective railroads, and while the photography is not always perfect, it tends to portray the subject in a more honest light. I find you establish a ‘virtual’ camaraderie with each site’s author, as if he/she owns the basement next door…

Hence, it seems only right to do my part to enrich the community. I make no claims as to my modeling abilities, as I’m far more concerned about picking up the soldering iron by the hot end, or gluing my fingers together – I’d rather just showcase what I’ve done in hopes of getting some honest feedback.
